Scope of Work
Good Life Construction completed an exterior cedar accent renovation for a homeowner in Roseville. The scope included removing existing gutters, trims, paneling, stucco foam trim, decorative beams, damaged fascia, and drip edge; installing new cedar decorative beams, cedar 2 x 8 trims, cedar panels, building paper, flashing, fascia board, and drip edge; then sealing, staining, patching stucco, matching texture and paint, reinstalling the gutter, and cleaning the work area.
Challenges
This project required careful tie-in work across existing siding, stucco, trim, garage door openings, window areas, columns, beams, and roof-edge components. The damaged fascia and existing exterior transitions also required attention to water protection, proper fitment, and finish matching so the new cedar accents integrated cleanly with the home’s exterior.
Solutions
Good Life Construction removed the affected exterior components, installed new cedar beams, trims, and panels with proper fastening, tied in new building paper where stucco was removed, and added flashing and drip edge for improved drainage. The team sealed required areas with caulking or wood filler, patched stucco damage, matched texture and paint, and applied stain to coordinate the new cedar accents with the existing exterior.d
Final Result
- Improved exterior protection with replaced fascia, drip edge, flashing, and sealed cedar transitions.
- Updated curb appeal with cedar accents installed above the garage doors, windows, columns, and beam areas.
- Better long-term performance through moisture-conscious detailing, secure installation, and finish coordination.
