Good Life Construction Milestones Since 2009
2009
Founded by Dmitriy Tupikov
Good Life Construction was founded in 2009 by Dmitriy Tupikov in the Greater Sacramento area. The company started with residential repairs, dry rot repairs, termite damage repairs, exterior repairs, and home improvement projects.
2010
Early Renovation Work and First Employee
The company expanded into bank-owned and foreclosure renovation projects, including full home renovations connected with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac properties. That same year, Oleg Shalimov joined as one of the company’s first employees and remains with the team today.
2011
Incorporated and Joined by Alex Tupikov
In 2011, Good Life Construction incorporated, and Dmitriy invited his father, Alex Tupikov, to join as co-owner. The company also opened its first office and grew to about 10 employees across administration, sales, accounting, and field support.
2012
Growing Local Reputation
By 2012, the contractor was earning strong local reviews and building trust as a Sacramento-area home improvement company. Its customer service, internal structure, and project operations continued to develop as demand increased.
2013
North Highlands Office and Future Leadership
The company moved to 6525 32nd Street, Unit A, North Highlands, CA. That same year, Mike Lazurka joined as an apprentice, beginning his path from field work into company leadership.
2015
Commercial Construction Expansion
The business expanded into commercial work, including tenant improvements, capital improvements, commercial property repairs, and renovation projects for businesses and property-owner clients.
2016
North American Home Services Acquisition
Dmitriy and Alex Tupikov acquired North American Home Services, the company where they had originally started their careers. During the transition, Steffen Gilbert, formerly General Manager of North American Home Services, joined Good Life and later became Vice President.
2019
Madison Avenue Headquarters
The construction company moved to 3720 Madison Avenue, Suite #250, North Highlands, CA. This location became an important headquarters for operations, project coordination, and continued service across Greater Sacramento.
2020
HOA, Property Management, and SB 721 Repairs
The company expanded deeper into HOA, property management, apartment community, multifamily, and commercial property work, including capital improvements, balcony repairs, exterior repairs, and SB 721-related repair projects.
2023
Part of Good Life Group
Good Life Construction became part of Good Life Group, joining Good Life Restoration, Good Life Inspections, and Good Life Pest Solutions as a family of local property service companies. Each company focuses on its own specialty across construction, restoration, inspections, and pest solutions.
2025
Mike Lazurka Becomes General Manager
On January 1, 2025, Mike Lazurka became General Manager after growing from apprentice into company leadership. By 2025, the company had grown to approximately 65 employees.
2026
Continued Growth to 80 Employees
By 2026, the company had grown to 80 employees, strengthening its capacity to serve homeowners, HOAs, property managers, apartment communities, commercial clients, and businesses across Greater Sacramento.
