Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had some pretty bad structural problems with the 2nd story of our house that was added to the existing 1st floor in 1978. The unattached chimney, unsafe balcony, and badly sloping floor were all part of the package. We chose Good Life based on the fact that they had an integrated design and engineering team and we were expecting problems. Boy did we have them. The 2nd story structure was totally weird, and that required new post and beam construction, the renovation of a lot of dry rot, and re-stucco of walls, even in places we didn't originally expect. Besides the major stuff, the Good Life project manager was responsive to any minor items we inquired about, addressed mid-project change requests quickly, ensured excellent workmanship, handled all of the permits quickly (even with all the changes) and we ended up with a first class renovation. We even added a bathroom remodel and a kitchen re-tile because the original scope was done so well. I highly recommend working with this group.

Good Life Construction did a repair project for us as a result of a redwood tree falling & damaging our house (roof, interior kitchen ceiling & wall) & fence. They finished the project in less time than projected, used top quality materials to replace our damaged fence; replace damaged roof tiles, underlayment, & plywood; & replaced damaged dry wall, texture & paint to match existing interior room conditions. They were accepting & responsive to our change order requests, & finished all requested work within budget. What we appreciated most was not only their excellent craftsmanship, but also their communication & commitment to being onsite when promised.

Verified I grew up with family members who could build a small house, remodel a kitchen or bath, build almost anything, so I have high expectations when hiring contractors, and finding someone I trust is tricky. Goodlife Construction deserves a solid 5 star rating. We worked with Roman, and he was prompt to the initial appointment, thorough and accurate in his assessment of what we needed for our job. (Removal of an old plummed bar in a closet and removal of a fireplace, gasline AND window, with new framing and drywall.) He was quick to send an estimate, and could schedule within days. Time was of the essense for us, and he was so thoughtful in getting things moving quickly. His team was there on time each day, and they completed the job very quickly, but also with excellent attention to detail. I know that the scope of the job turned out to be a bit beyond the original assumptions, but they adjusted easily to these issues, and made the job look "easy". The final carpentry and drywall/stucco finishing was excellent. I would not hestiate to hire them again.

Verified Hired Good Life for a kitchen restoration/renovation, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Estimate was extremely reasonable, and they actually proposed an option that required less work and $$. I ended up being really happy with the route they took, and the finished product was amazing. The workers didn't speak a lot, but to be honest I didn't mind at all. They were efficient and very hard working, and got the job done one day early. They were very respectful with noise, especially since I work from home. It took me a while to find a contractor to do this work, and I'm lucky I found these guys. They will be my first call for my next project.

Verified We own a duplex in the Curtis Park neighborhood and a pest inspection revealed severe dry rot and leaking from bathrooms in both units. We got a bid to tear out the floor tile, floor boards, shower tile, flooring and walls and rebuild and install new tile in one unit and in the other just to rebuild dry rot damage under the bathroom and replace tub surround. Good Life construction gave us a quick and reasonable bid and had the work done within a week and a half with very little disruption to the tenant we had in the second unit. We even added some plumbing work and tile replacement in the kitchen and he still finished in a week and a half. The work was extremely well done and he kept us informed along the way of his progress. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them.
