I was so relieved I found Good Life! It is hard to find a contractor with such a great reputation. I first found them on the internet and then found they have an A+ with the BBB. Then randomly, a friend of a friend said they did her remodel and she raved about them. That helped me make my decision. Later, a realtor recommended them and also my tax preparer. With such a great word of mouth reputation and their other ratings, I knew they were a great company. I hired them to redo my large shower and floor in the bathroom. They redid the subfloor, drywall and texture as well as replace the window. They were very reliable and professional. They were very responsive to my needs and took care of things that came up along the way in a timely manner. I watched how incredibly hard Ben, Ivan and Vitality worked. We had some pretty bad structural problems with the 2nd story of our house that was added to the existing 1st floor in 1978.  The unattached chimney, unsafe balcony, and badly sloping floor were all part of the package.  We chose Good Life based on the fact that they had an integrated design and engineering team and we were expecting problems.  Boy did we have them.  The 2nd story structure was totally weird, and that required new post and beam construction, the renovation of a lot of dry rot, and re-stucco of walls, even in places we didn't originally expect.  Besides the major stuff, the Good Life project manager was responsive to any minor items we inquired about, addressed mid-project change requests quickly, ensured excellent workmanship, handled all of the permits quickly (even with all the changes) and we ended up with a first class renovation. I used Good Life Construction to remodel my mother-in-law's bathroom.  We needed to convert a tub shower combo to a walk-in-shower.  We needed a small lip and wanted the shower to be widened.  Our goal was to get this done within the next month and at a low cost so that she could continue to care for herself since she is in her 80's and was no longer able to get in the tub easily. We took several bids but Good Life Co Rep (Serge) came out and seemed to listen to what we wanted and needed.  He was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable.  Their bid was competitive and one of the cheaper ones but I felt like I was going to be taken care of by a good team. Serge and the admin team were very communicative by email and we scheduled the work in a timely manner.  The work took 3 days and was exactly what we needed.  The crews were clean and nice.  The put the grab bars exactly as we specified and wanted the adjustable shower head for later when we have to add a shower chair. Overall, a great experience at a reasonable price. We had Paul as our contractor from Goodlife who provided excellent work on our home and was extremely helpful and responsive every step of the way. We had a bedroom bathroom remodel planned; however, when the crew opened up the exterior wall, they saw that the previous owners had done unpermitted work, and the stucco was done improperly, creating a much bigger project. The work Good Life did was excellent and Paul was fantastic about communicating along the way. I hired Good Life Construction because they had a division for mold, remediation, and a division for construction to rebuild. I am so happy I chose Good Life Construction. The construction manager Jason did an amazing job of assigning different people to come and remodel our bathroom. His communication is SUPERIOR and the bathroom turned out amazing!! I would also like to give a big shout out to Reuben who is the manager of the MOLD remediation team. His workers were amazing as well. Great communication and follow up. We had an amazing experience with GoodLife Construction. It is a one-stop shop: engineering, permitting, and construction. We worked closely with the engineer, the office, crew, and construction managers. We actually added a bathroom remodel and other  jobs to our initial contract seeing the quality of work. We had used Good Life Construction (GLC) when we found a leak due to improperly flashed outlet in our balcony. They fixed it. That took care of about 70% of the leak during rainy season. We still had minor leak. We asked them to give a proposal to fix it. This time one of their tech tested the floor and identified that the leak is coming from the floor/wall corner. Jacob researched and presented a number of options that took our concerns into consideration. We chose to replace row of two tiles close to the wall and cut about two feet of stucco. They completely replaced the flashing, paper and installed new tiles and new stucco and retested the floor. No leaks were found. As they tested the wall under the roof, there was a slight leak. They opened the drywall inside and identified that it is coming from the wall high up that is protected by the roof. We asked them to fix that as well. The entire team of Jacob, Valentyn, David, Alec, Mike and Igor worked with us as went through the detective process. They did a very high quality job. In addition to this they did a complete remodel of 2 bathrooms, replaced vanity, lighting, fixtures and installed a bidet (installed electrical outlet for the bidet) in a 3rd bathroom, installed an electrical outlet and a bidet in a fourth bathroom. They did a tremendous job with all of this. The key for us that it was very easy for us to work with them. The entire six weeks they worked with us stress free. We now have two brand new bathrooms, two upgraded bathrooms and complicated leak in the balcony fixed. We are working with GLC for one other significant remodel now. Requested a quote through Yelp and was put on schedule asap. Roman came out and gave us an estimate for full demo, build out and redesign of our tiny owners suite bathroom. We choose GLC because their bid was in the middle of the 3 we received, and Roman seemed the most knowledgeable, professional and personable. We are SO GLAD we went with GLC and Roman! We were so impressed with his team (David specifically), their efficiency and timeliness. The project started when I was 32 weeks pregnant, and absolutely needed to be done asap. They were helpful throughout the process and helped us problem solve some design dilemmas. We were so impressed with them the first few days we added a full gut/remodel of the laundry room and a partial remodel of our guest bathroom. I'm still over here trying to come up with other projects because I enjoyed working with them so much. Bathroom Remodel We were finally in a position to remodel our bathrooms. We didn't know anybody in the construction business, and didn't have anyone close to offer a recommendation. So, with much trepidation, I went online. I reached out to four companies who seemed likely. One of them never contacted me back; the second one asked for what I was looking for, then sent an extremely expensive estimate; the third came out and gave us a bid which was a lot more than we were hoping to spend. Then Roman with Good Life Construction came out and gave us a quote that we could live with. He was personable and knowledgeable. I checked the Better Business Bureau, the Contractor's Licensing Board, Yelp, and Googled the heck out of them. Good, all the way around. We made the right decision when we hired them to do the job. They were there the day and time they promised, never missed a day, and showed up on time, like clockwork, ready to work. They remodeled one bathroom, then moved to the next without missing a beat. Viktor and Daniel genuinely care about the job they do and take pride in their work. It shows. They are professional, skilled, and pay attention to detail. They communicated with us regularly, so all the small decisions needed along the way were handled quickly. They were respectful of our space, cleaned up after themselves, and made the inconvenience of having someone in our home easier than expected. Both of my bathrooms came out beautifully.
