Overall Great Experience
I highly recommend Good Life. I called for an estimate on a large siding project and Alex came out quickly to see the project and gave a fair price. After scheduling the siding project, I had an engineer come to inspect the structure of the house. He had some recommendations on replacing beams and posts and thankfully Good Life had skilled enough carpenters to execute the structural work. Alex came back out and was able to add the structural work and new windows to the estimate.
For those people unfamiliar with large projects, it's fairly common for contractors to add in change orders once a project is started. Sometimes these change orders can be expensive and you are just on the hook for them because the project has started. Not only was Alex upfront about possible extra charges, but he also didn't drastically change the scope of work and when changes were made, they were at a fair price. Their integrity when it came to this is probably the greatest factor in my rating of the company.
The lead for the actual work being done was Vlad. This being a large project, they were there for a few weeks and I couldn't be happier with the crew. They were all polite, showed up on time, and exercised great communication. I had lots of questions and watched a lot of their work and Vlad had no issues explaining or answering my questions. Additionally, they were extremely neat, which isn't very common but greatly appreciated. Every day they would pick up all debris and even use a magnet sweeper for nails.
I know they specialize in dry rot repair but I would gladly hire them again for any projects they were willing to take on.
