I was so relieved I found Good Life! It is hard to find a contractor with such a great reputation. I first found them on the internet and then found they have an A+ with the BBB. Then randomly, a friend of a friend said they did her remodel and she raved about them. That helped me make my decision. Later, a realtor recommended them and also my tax preparer. With such a great word of mouth reputation and their other ratings, I knew they were a great company. I hired them to redo my large shower and floor in the bathroom. They redid the subfloor, drywall and texture as well as replace the window. They were very reliable and professional. They were very responsive to my needs and took care of things that came up along the way in a timely manner. I watched how incredibly hard Ben, Ivan and Vitality worked. We had some pretty bad structural problems with the 2nd story of our house that was added to the existing 1st floor in 1978.  The unattached chimney, unsafe balcony, and badly sloping floor were all part of the package.  We chose Good Life based on the fact that they had an integrated design and engineering team and we were expecting problems.  Boy did we have them.  The 2nd story structure was totally weird, and that required new post and beam construction, the renovation of a lot of dry rot, and re-stucco of walls, even in places we didn't originally expect.  Besides the major stuff, the Good Life project manager was responsive to any minor items we inquired about, addressed mid-project change requests quickly, ensured excellent workmanship, handled all of the permits quickly (even with all the changes) and we ended up with a first class renovation. I used Good Life Construction to remodel my mother-in-law's bathroom.  We needed to convert a tub shower combo to a walk-in-shower.  We needed a small lip and wanted the shower to be widened.  Our goal was to get this done within the next month and at a low cost so that she could continue to care for herself since she is in her 80's and was no longer able to get in the tub easily. We took several bids but Good Life Co Rep (Serge) came out and seemed to listen to what we wanted and needed.  He was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable.  Their bid was competitive and one of the cheaper ones but I felt like I was going to be taken care of by a good team. Serge and the admin team were very communicative by email and we scheduled the work in a timely manner.  The work took 3 days and was exactly what we needed.  The crews were clean and nice.  The put the grab bars exactly as we specified and wanted the adjustable shower head for later when we have to add a shower chair. Overall, a great experience at a reasonable price. We had Paul as our contractor from Goodlife who provided excellent work on our home and was extremely helpful and responsive every step of the way. We had a bedroom bathroom remodel planned; however, when the crew opened up the exterior wall, they saw that the previous owners had done unpermitted work, and the stucco was done improperly, creating a much bigger project. The work Good Life did was excellent and Paul was fantastic about communicating along the way. Bathroom Remodel I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the work that Good Life Construction did in our master bathroom. We did a complete remodel, including new tile floors, shower update, freestanding tub, lighting changes, ventilation, etc. After interviewing and receiving five estimates with general contractors having 50+ reviews with 4.5+ stars or greater, licensed and insured and in business for more than 10 years, we selected Good Life Construction. Roman, the project manager, was  extremely helpful, knowledgeable and available anytime we needed him.  He kept the project on track, was open to changes when needed, and completed the project under budget.  He provided great insight and design choices that would help us reach our desired outcome. David and Alex were assigned and completed 90% of all aspects of the job. They were here everyday from sun up to sun down. These are two of the hardest working people I have come across. They are professional, skilled labors and true craftsmans. Whatever we needed to have done, they took care of right away. I HIGHLY recommend Good Life Construction! They are professional, responsive, and just do great work! From the start, Vera was gracious and helpful when setting up the appointments/communications throughout the process. I also worked with Serge and Mike along with their amazing crew. I am in a new home built by New Faze Construction. I should not be experiencing the plumbing/water leak issues I was experiencing. It started when I found mold growing in my downstairs closet! Mold remediation work was done. It was decided to leave the wall exposed to better assess the water leak issue. Additionally, there was water damage to my ceiling due to inept work regarding plumbing in the master shower. I had consults from other companies, but no one could determine the source. Fast forward to Good Life. Serge came out, assessed both issues, and gave me a bid. They did amazing work with identifying the source of the leak in the shower and Igor and crew did an incredible job with the repair/ceiling work! Then we addressed the southside wall. This could best be described as trying to find a "needle in the haystack." Serge suggested replacement of all three picture windows as a conservative measure as the windows showed signs of leakage. When this didn't fully resolve the issue, Serge came back out to reassess the job. What they found was worse than we originally anticipated. It turns out the whole southside wall was impacted. I was told that the acrylic and paint were premixed and applied as a finish coat by the previous contractor which resulted in stucco failure as water was getting behind the stucco system. All building paper and expansion joints had to be replaced as they were compromised and new stucco and paint applied. During this process, Operations Manager, Mike L. personally came by to oversee the project. The finished product was nothing short of amazing. This was a very challenging job and they exceeded my expectations. Don't look anywhere else for your construction service needs. Had a leaking window and dry rot problem in one one of our bedroom and also dry rot in our upstairs bathroom. Called Good life and Roman came and gave us an estimate. He was not pushy and he was knowledgeable. We got a couple of more estimates from other companies too. When my husband and I decided to call good life they were ready to start the venext Monday. They had guys guys working in the bedroom , our bathroom and window guys too . We were very impressed. They did a great job and they did not cut any corners . My neighbors were very impressed when they finished my window because they said it looks so good that you cannot tell they took out the whole wall to put a new window. My bathroom looks so good that my son was so happy to be the first one to use it lol.. also every time I had a question I called and texted Roman and he called and texted back right away. I forgot to ask the names of the two main guys who were always here . They were very friendly and they worked really hard . GoodLife did a great job renovating my mother's small bathroom in her mobile home after a water supply leak under the floor  required demolition and replacement of the entire bathroom. It was a challenging renovation because: 1. We filed a claim under her home insurance policy and many contractors would not bid on a job involving insurance; 2. Many contractors would not work on a mobile home renovation; 3. Some contractors did not carry the required insurance, especially for workers compensation; 4. The vast majority of contractors did not include a good legal contract that satisfied even the minimum requirements under California law; and 5. many contractors would not agree to pull the required permits for the job themselves, as they should. Good Life was the only affordable and well reviewed contractor we found that checked all of the boxes. Jason the estimator was a pleasure to work with in getting the estimate and contract completed; Yaroslav the project manager worked well with me to price and source the affordable materials and fixtures we chose. And Alex the crew person did good, fast and professional work in rebuilding the bathroom. GoodLife started and completed the project quickly, on time and within the original budget. Bathroom Remodel We were finally in a position to remodel our bathrooms. We didn't know anybody in the construction business, and didn't have anyone close to offer a recommendation. So, with much trepidation, I went online. I reached out to four companies who seemed likely. One of them never contacted me back; the second one asked for what I was looking for, then sent an extremely expensive estimate; the third came out and gave us a bid which was a lot more than we were hoping to spend. Then Roman with Good Life Construction came out and gave us a quote that we could live with. He was personable and knowledgeable. I checked the Better Business Bureau, the Contractor's Licensing Board, Yelp, and Googled the heck out of them. Good, all the way around. We made the right decision when we hired them to do the job. They were there the day and time they promised, never missed a day, and showed up on time, like clockwork, ready to work. They remodeled one bathroom, then moved to the next without missing a beat. Viktor and Daniel genuinely care about the job they do and take pride in their work. It shows. They are professional, skilled, and pay attention to detail. They communicated with us regularly, so all the small decisions needed along the way were handled quickly. They were respectful of our space, cleaned up after themselves, and made the inconvenience of having someone in our home easier than expected. Both of my bathrooms came out beautifully.
