Project Overview
Location:
Marlee Way, Rocklin, CA 95677
Service: Bathroom Remodeling
Timeline: 2 Months
Cost: Approx. $24.000
Scope of Work
Good Life Construction completed a master bathroom remodel for a homeowner in Rocklin, including demolition of the existing shower, tub, and countertop, debris removal, localized subfloor repair, and framing of a new wall between the toilet and shower. The work included a new shower valve and drain assembly, cement board, shower pan, standard niche, Schluter waterproofing membrane, mosaic shower floor tile, large-format shower wall tile, bathroom floor tile, a prefab quartz countertop and backsplash on the existing cabinet, tub installation with plumbing adjustments, new finish fixtures, a medicine cabinet, shower glass door, exhaust fan, baseboards, and drywall patching and paint in the bathroom and adjacent interior areas.
Challenges
This project required careful coordination between demolition, selective structural repair, plumbing updates, and finish installation within an existing bathroom layout. The scope also involved tying new work into existing cabinetry, addressing damaged subfloor areas, building a new partition wall, and sequencing tile, fixture, ventilation, glass, and paint work so the finished space functioned as a complete, code-conscious bathroom upgrade.
Solutions
Good Life Construction addressed the scope with a focused rebuild approach: repairing the affected subfloor, reframing the shower-to-toilet separation wall, installing new shower plumbing components, and upgrading the wet area with cement board, a shower pan, and Schluter waterproofing. The team then completed the finish phase with tile installation, quartz surfaces, updated plumbing and lighting fixtures, new ventilation, and final trim and paint work to deliver a durable, better-organized master bathroom with improved moisture protection and everyday usability.
