The work included locating and repairing visible stucco cracks, pressure washing, detailed masking and surface prep, elastomeric sealing, premium paint application, trim and door color separation, soffit painting, and final touch-ups to create a durable, uniform finish.
Challenges
The exterior showed common wear, including visible stucco cracks and surface exposure that could allow future moisture intrusion if not properly addressed. This project required more than a cosmetic repaint; it called for thorough surface preparation, flexible crack repair, and a coating system capable of bonding to textured stucco while withstanding sun, weather, and seasonal movement.
Solutions
We treated the project as a full exterior restoration, not just a paint job. Our team cleaned and opened the stucco cracks, applied high-flex elastomeric sealant to reduce water intrusion, and tooled the repairs for a smooth, weather-tight finish that can move with the substrate over time. After pressure washing and masking, we applied Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint using a spray-and-back-roll method to work the coating deep into the stucco texture for stronger adhesion, more consistent coverage, and longer-lasting protection. Coordinated wall, trim, door, and soffit colors completed the project with a refreshed appearance and a more durable exterior envelope.
